About health

Our dearest and our foundation, Honey on the eve of her 15th birthday. Honey's health is impeccable for her age and she has no heart problems. At this age Honey also has all of her teeth and is in a really good muscle condition. Her hearing started to suffer when she was around 9 years of age, but she still hears very loud sounds. Honey's colour has not suffered much - the first grey hairs came after 13 years of age and are still not affecting her looks. Honey enjoys her life to the full, nobody could believe she is already 15 by looking at her dance around, wanting to catch everyone's attention ;)

CKCSC, UK:

"Cavaliers are generally a happy healthy breed of dog. However, as with many other breeds, there are genetic problems. (...) the impression should not be given that all Cavaliers have these conditions. They do not."

Cavaliers should be tested for HEART (yearly, for example when vaccinated), EYES (at least once in their life, would be good to test every 3 years) and KNEES (once in their life, after 1 year old).
